RobenX understands the challenges often faced by albinos first-hand. His musical message of courage, self-confidence and inclusion will be a powerful voice to hear on June 13th, 2020 as he supports International Albinism Awareness Day in an online concert for the United Nations.

Being bullied is a challenge that many young albino people face in ways that can have a lasting impact on how they view themselves and the world. One proven way to overcome this is through hearing supportive voices, both from role models who have experienced the same kind of dynamic, and from aware communities who offer support. In that spirit musician, model, and Albinism Advocate RobenX recently announced he will be performing virtually for the United Nations on June 13th, 2020 for International Albinism Awareness Day, delivering a passionate message of responsible behavior and self-worth.

“As a child, I was often bullied because of my appearance, and the impact of this needs to be understood,” commented RobenX. “It was so difficult I even considered taking my own life. Thankfully my mother’s love, support, and music came to the rescue. I became the person I really wanted to be and I am trying hard to carry this message to others who need to hear it. I am really looking forward to International Albinism Awareness Day 2020 as an opportunity to open eyes about both the problem of bullying and to deliver a message of confidence and hope.”

This latest performance builds off of Roben’s past successes in raising awareness of albinism and in battling bullying include highlights like speaking and performing in Geneva  at the United Nations Human Rights Day Celebration in 2018, receiving a heart-warming recognition from the Mayor of Memphis, Jim Strickland, for Albinism Advocacy, and been applauded as a Human Right Champion by Stand Up for Human Rights.

International Albinism Awareness Day will feature programming related to the vital subject, to help educate on this issue which many people have not heard of, something which RobenX works hard every day to change. Details about the June 13th event, it’s music performances and other agenda can be found at its official website.

RobenX’s music is a blend of hip hop and rock over well-crafted hypnotic beats. Always with an emphasis placed on lyrics that can make a difference.
