Keuka College, which is known for its quality online and on-campus education, is pleased to now offer an Online Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.

Keuka College is excited to announce the launch of its Online Master of Social Work degree to help address the increasing need for mental health services in society. The Online MSW degree program predominantly focuses on assessing, diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental illness, along with various emotional and behavioral disturbances.

Keuka College’s Online Master of Social Work program will allow graduates to work as licensed clinical social workers who operate as mental health providers and accept insurance referrals. Backed by a resourceful, highly trained practicing faculty, Keuka College is helping shape the next generation of social workers as they enter their careers.

The Online Master of Social Work program from Keuka College is ideal for self-directed and motivated students who need a flexible schedule. This intense program focuses on social, economic, and political justice while emphasizing critical thinking abilities. The College has two tracks of MSW – the Traditional Track for students with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline who want to enter the field of social work, and the Advanced Track for students who already have a bachelor’s degree in social work. Keuka College’s online master of social work offers distinct advantages for remote students, including comprehensive field placement services within the student’s region.

Upon completing these clinical social work programs, students will gain clinical mental health treatment skills and a broad understanding of social work that may be applied to a range of generalist and leadership positions. Graduates will be equipped to work in a range of disciplines, such as mental health, family and juvenile services, addiction and substance misuse, community outreach, and more. Leveraging adult-oriented learning models and a state-of-the-art online classroom module, with real-world experiences offered through clinical focus and field placements, Keuka College’s online social work program supports strong intellectual, character, and competency development, aligning education to personal career goals.

“Individuals, families, and communities are facing complicated difficulties in today’s fast-changing world,” said Keuka College Associate Professor of Social Work and Division Chair Dr. Jason McKinney. “Keuka College is training social workers who are committed to the ideals of human diversity, dignity, and self-worth with a focus on providing therapeutic services to disenfranchised populations. Our Online Master of Social Work program will educate empathetic leaders who are knowledgeable, optimistic, and resourceful through a clinical, individualized approach.”
